Langenbuch and Pörtner (2004)

S. nudus were incubated in three sealed gas tight aquaria with a bottom layer of sediment to allow animals to remain burrowed during the experiment. The aquaria were constantly aerated under control conditions, and during experimentation, recirculating seawater was equilibrated with gas mixtures containing elevated concentrations of CO2.
